A little while ago I had to go to Minneapolis for work . . . here are a few pictures. We ended up going to a Twins game, and somehow we were able to get 3rd row behind the plate (thanks to the ticket scalpers)

Zions 2008

This past weekend we took a trip down to zions to do a little canyoneering. It was super fun (minus the sweet campsite we had . . . long story) We ended up doing the subway on saturday, and mystery canyon on monday. I have SOME pictures of the subway, and thats it. My camera got ruined halfway down the canyon due to some deep water. Anyway . . . here are a few pictures.

Biking season is upon us

I figure now is as good as anytime to update the blog . . . so why not update with a few pictures mountain bike pictures that I forgot to post last fall from our trip up to a secret trail by deer valley. Hopefully I will have some more to post here now that the mb season is (almost) in full swing.Towards the top of the trail . . . Lots of elevated trails and man-made drops

Unlucky

So....its been a little while since I have posted anything...because I have been a bit busy. A few weeks ago my external hard drive crashed. That may not seem like a big deal, but it is. That WAS my back up for all of my designs and documents for work. Stuff for our current catalog, and stuff or our upcoming catalog. Not to mention my portfolio and pictures. Its ALL gone! So needless to say I have been spending all of my time re-doing everything that I can.

I took it (hard drive) to see if I could get any data recovered, and it looks like it is going to cost me somewhere in the neighborhood of 1500-2400$ to get it all back. Ughhh...it makes me sick to think about. The crappy thing is that I need those files...so I really dont have choice. Its my fault for not having another back up. Oh well... live and learn.

Night Court

So....I wont go into details, but today was a waste of my time. Well, at least the first part of my day. I had to leave work for a bit this morning to go "somewhere" to deal with "someone" who was "extremely pleasant" to be around. Its ok though...Im glad this "someone" got what they wanted, and hope it makes them happy...because they sure didnt look it.

Barcelona marathon...Spain that is.

So...I recently returned from Spain. The main reason for going was to run the Barcelona marathon, the sight seeing and local women were just an added bonus.

I have to confess though...I didn't train to run the marathon. A few weeks before, I ran around the block (a little under a mile) and I got bored and stopped. That was the extent of my training. To make a long story short...I ran the marathon and finished it (to the surprise and dismay of many, including myself) my legs might not have worked after the race, but I still finished.

The rest of the trip consisted of sight seeing and wrangling the local wildlife (one of those is a lie). I will post some pictures as soon as I get a chance (they are on my other computer)

Papa's got a brand new bike

So....I recently "aquired" a new bike. By "aquired"...I mean "bought". And by "new bike" I mean "the most bomb-proof, kick-ass piece of bike known to man". Double wide rims, marzocchi bombers in the front....8" of travel front and rear. MRP Bones crank set.....Hayes 9's disc brake set. Rear tire is running 2.6" wide. So...basically what I am saying is that I could ride it off of my roof while eating a sandwich and drinking a glass of milk.....and not even spill the milk.

Its a Christmas Miracle

There is no excuse as to why I have not posted anything for months (or maybe years). I cant really say that I have been TOO busy to do it, because lets face...there is always time, right? I just got back from the annual Pearson family Christmas party....good as always. What is more important than family at Christmas time? I am going to get a little out of character here and be serious. Family are friends are what makes Christmas such a rad holliday! Where would we be without the people we love? So I say Merry Christmas to everyone...

The Olsons annual Christmas party. I am not going to lie...the food that was there on the table was legendary. Thanks Barb and Doug. My friends Porter and Jaada with their new baby Saavy, Me, Cory and his wife Donielle, and of course Dan Kettle. It was a Christmas Miracle.

Bike ride to Dogwood lake

Ummm...yeah. It has been a while since I have updated this little humdinger, so.....that is what I will do. Please read on.

Today (sat. 8th of july a.d) we (Craig Jenson, and the president of Cereal and Toast emporioum....which happens to be me) ventured up Millcreek canyon to ride the trail up to Dog lake.

Going up the trail was fine, seeing how there were no hikers or other people of that sort. But....on the way down, there was so much bloody traffic (by traffic, I mean hikers and bikers) it was ridiculous and I wanted to punch something.

Regardless of that, it was a fantastic ride. Here are a few pictures for your viewing pleasure.



Funny story about this one....well.....ok, no real funny story, this is just a picture of Craig Jenson throwing up. I would like to say that he got in a fight with a yetti and was "side-kicked" in the stomache, but that would be a lie.

American Fork Canyon and me

Just got back from a fantastic ride in American Fork Canyon. Conditions were prime, and the downhill was even better. Very fast, with some technical stuff thrown in the mix.

Mystery Canyon

Just thought I would post some pictures from a recent trip down to zions. These pictures are in Mystery canyon. At the end of the canyon, you have to repell down into the narrows. The wall you go down is super slippery because there is a waterfall that you have to go down. And at the bottom, you are on a river. On a side note, I may have fallen into the river right in front of a group of girls. Needless to say I felt like an idiot. I mean, I am an idiot, but they didnt know that.....that is until I fell into the river right in front of them.
